On Nov. 10, 2023, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimated that from October 1, 2023, through November 11, 2023, there were between 780,000 -1.6 million flu illnesses, 360,000-770,000 flu-related medical visits, 8,000 to 17,000 flu-related hospitalizations, and 490-1,500 flu-related deaths.

The estimates were based on Influenza Hospitalization Surveillance Network data.
