Biocomplexity Institute created computing center to solve science’s most complex problems

On May 16, 2018, the Biocomplexity Institute’s long-anticipated new data center, built with an internal investment of $5 million, opened its doors and promises to bring the institute’s compute power to an unprecedented speed and scale.

Fueled by more than 2 megawatts of power and equipment from NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, the Biocomplexity Institute’s new data center helps collaborators address issues ranging from disasters to disease outbreaks.
