In 1984, St. ﾠJude Children’s Hospital launched the After Completion of Therapy Clinic, the world’s largest long-term follow-up clinic for pediatric cancer patients. St. Jude patients can transfer to the ACT Clinic when their disease has been in remission five years.

They then visit the clinic every year until they are 18 years of age or until 10 years after diagnosis. At that time, ACT patients graduate and become St. Jude alumni. St.ﾠJude Children’s Research Hospital was founded in 1962 by actor Danny Thomas.
