The Prostate Centre at VGH received $20 million donation by Vancouver businessman Jim Pattison
In 1999, the Vancouver Prostate Centre received a $20 million donation by Vancouver businessman Jim Pattison, the largest private donation ever made to a health care facility in Canada to date.
This donation was supported with a VGH and UBC Hospital Foundation $45 million campaign for matching funds, and a $10 million grant from Health Canada. The Centre has become Canada’s leading prostate cancer research and treatment centres.
