The Connecticut Challenge Survivorship Clinic Opened at Yale Cancer Center

On Sept. 28, 2012, the Connecticut Challenge Survivorship Clinic opened at Yale Cancer Center providing — the first standalone facility in the nation dedicated to the empowerment of cancer survivors and their caregivers.

The Centers was co-founded by Jeff Keith, CEO, a Fairfield resident and 35-year cancer survivor, and John Ragland.  Before the Center opened, the Connecticut Challenge staff taught fitness and nutrition classes and offered support and counseling at various sites in the state.

Programming includes fitness classes like yoga, Pilates, and cycling; support groups and one-on-one consultations; cooking demonstrations with registered dietitians; and a community focused on healing and empowerment.
