Study revealed that duration of exposure to COVID-19 plays major role in risk of catching the virus

,

On Dec. 20, 2022, the University of Oxford announced study results using data from 7 million people notified by the NHS COVID-19 contact tracing app, this is the first large-scale study to reveal how duration and proximity of contact with an infected person affects how COVID-19 is spread. A study published in Nature showed that the NHS COVID-19 contact tracing app successfully predicted peopleメs risk of catching the virus following exposure to an infected person.

Researchers at the University of Oxford’s Pandemic Sciences Institute (PSI) analysed the appメs exposure measurements for 7 million people who were notified by the app that they had come into contact with the virus. The researchers found that the app correctly predicted peopleメs risk of infection based on these measurements.
