Spanish, Italian and French Health Authorities expanded recommendations for use of Novavax COVID-19 vaccine

On Jan. 5, 2023, Novavax announced that Spain’s Public Health Commission, Italy’s Ministry of Health, and France’s Haute Autorite de Sante released updated recommendations expanding use of Nuvaxovid (NVX-CoV2373) in their respective countries.

Novavax COVID-19 vaccine is authorized for use as an adult booster in more than 35 countries, and a number of other countries have policy recommendations allowing use of the vaccine as a booster dose. The vaccine is also authorized for use in adolescents aged 12 through 17 in more than 30 markets around the world, including the U.S., member states in the European Union, and the United Kingdom.
