In 2010, NevBio (Nevada Biotechnology & Bioscience Consortium), was founded as the state’s trade association representing the life science industry in Nevada and connects state bio groups, industry leaders and drivers of economic development. The non-profit organization was founded by John Laub and Steven Zak.

NevBio’s goal is to raise awareness of biotechnology and health sciences in an effort to create an education based economy right here in Southern Nevada.
