Drs. Fletcher Taylor and Charles Esmon at the OMRF established filed for a patent on discoveries fore blood clots
In 1988, Dr. Fletcher Taylor and Dr. Charles Esmon from the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) filed for a patent on discoveries they had made about how the blood clots. In 2001, their work resulted in the first and only U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved treatment for a deadly blood infection.
