
CDC published ACIP recommendations for use of hepatitis A vaccine for persons experiencing homelessness
On Feb. 15, 2019, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) published ACIP recommendations for use. A complete HepA vaccine series provides long-term protection against hepatitis A virus (HAV) infection.
All persons aged ≥1 year experiencing homelessness should be routinely immunized against HAV. Vaccination of homeless persons facilitates integration of HepA vaccine into routine preventive services
