On Feb. 22, 2021, BD (Becton, Dickinson) and Scanwell Health, a leader in smartphone-enabled at-home medical tests, announced a collaboration to create an at-home rapid test for SARS-CoV-2 using a BD antigen test and the Scanwell Health mobile app. As part of the collaboration, BD planned to produce a lateral flow antigen test and pair it with the Scanwell Health mobile app.
