
ACIP voted to expand influenza recommendation to include vaccination for children ages 6 months-18 years
On Feb. 27, 2008, the Immunization Practices Advisory Committee (Immunization Practices Advisory Committee (ACIP) voted to expand influenza recommendation to include vaccination for children ages 6 months-18 years.
The previous recommendation was for vaccination of children from 6 months to 59 months of age. The new recommendation increased the number of children recommended for vaccination by approximately 30 million.
