On Jan. 13, 2020, a team of scientists from the University of Vermont and Tufts University annouced they had repurposed living cellsﾗscraped from frog embryosﾗand assembled them into entirely new life-forms.

The new creatures were designed on a supercomputer at UVMﾗand then assembled and tested by biologists at Tufts University. The results of the new research were published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
