COVID-19 vaccine doses shipped by the COVAX Facility head to Ghana, marked beginning of global rollout
On Feb. 24, 2021, Ghana became the first country outside India to receive COVID-19 vaccine doses shipped via the COVAX Facility. This was a historic step towards the WHO goal to ensure equitable distribution of COVID-19 vaccines globally, in what was the largest vaccine procurement and supply operation in history.
