On Nov. 1, 2020, the U.S. Department of Defense announced the start of rapid, on-site COVID-19 testing for passengers departing Baltimore Washington International Airport and Seattle Tacoma Airport aboard Patriot Express flights for official duty at overseas locations.

Beginning Nov. 1, approximately 10-15 percent of those screened who were not exhibiting symptoms would be subject to a rapid, on-site laboratory test prior to travel.
