
3M and Ford begin shipping newly designed powered air-purifying respirators for health care workers fighting COVID-19
On May 6, 2020, 3M and Ford announced that newly designed powered air-purifying respirators (PAPRs), developed are on the way to health care workers fighting COVID-19. The 3M/ Ford collaboration brought the new PAPR from Ford’s Vreeland facility near Flat Rock, Michigan.
The Ford Limited Use Public Health Emergency PAPR was made available in connection with a U.S. Food and Drug Administration Emergency Use Authorization. It is for sale in the US through 3M authorized distributors. 3M and Ford will donate any profits they earn from the sale of these PAPRs to COVID-19 related nonprofit organization
