Amgen announced closure of former Boulder-based Synergen LakeCentre facility

On Jul. 29, 2014, Amgen announced closure of former Boulder-based Synergen LakeCentre facility. Amgen acquired Boulder-based Synergen in 1994 for $239.6 million.

The facility was renamed LakeCentre and comprised about 300,000 square feet. AstraZeneca purchased the high-tech biologics bulk manufacturing facility from Amgen in 2015.
