Alan Aderem, PhD, became president of Seattle BioMed – only the second in its more than 35-year history

On Jan. 1, 2012 Alan Aderem, Ph.D., became president of Seattle BioMed, now known as Center for Infectious Disease Research – only the second in its more than 35-year history succeeding founder Ken Stuart who was named President Emeritus, and Full Professor.

Aderem is a biologist, specializing in immunology and cell biology and a co-founder of the Institute for Systems Biology in Seattle.
