Siteman Cancer Center was designated a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the NCI
On Jan. 20, 2005, the Siteman Cancer Center received National Cancer Institute (NCI) designation as a Comprehensive Cancer Center. This distinction recognized Siteman’s broad-based research, outreach and educational activities — and provided Siteman with research funding of $21 million.
Since its inception in 1999, Siteman has provided the most effective, up-to-date care to people in the surrounding community and nationwide. It is the only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center within a 240-mile radius.
