On May 6, 2004, the Health Sciences Learning Center opened near the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. The learning center will serve as the educational hub for all health sciences students–medical, nursing and pharmacy as well as physical therapy, physician assistant and clinical laboratory science students – on the UW–Madison campus.
Unifying the disciplines even more, the staffs and collections of the three health sciences libraries – Middleton, Powers and Weston – will consolidate in the new Ebling Library, which will extend through three floors on the northern crescent-shaped section of the $55 million building.
