In 1995, Southern California Biomedical Council (SCBC), was founded with support from Rebuild LA (RLA) under its second president, Linda Griego, and incorporated in 1995 as a non-profit (c) 6, membership-based, California trade association.

SCBC promotes and supports biomedical and biotechnology research, development and manufacturing in the Greater Los Angeles region for economic development and job creation.
