On Oct. 24, 1987, the Office of Technology Development was established in the National Cancer Institute Office of the Director as the institute’s focal point for the implementation of pertinent legislation, rules and regulations, and the administration of activities relating to collaborative agreements, inventions, patents, royalties, and associated matters.
