Ground was broken for the USC Kenneth Norris Jr. Cancer Hospital and Research Institute
On May 10, 1979, ground was broken for the University of Southern Califrona Kenneth Norris Jr. Cancer Hospital and Research Institute. At the time, the effort was described as the “largest building project in the 99-year history of the University.”
The eight-story building, ultimately costing $37 million, was dedicated on Feb. 3, 1983.
