On May 30, 1923, movie star Rudolph Valentino visited Seattle’s Children’s Orthopedic Hospital during his only known visit to Seattle. Valentino attended a Children’s Orthopedic Hospital charity event where a record amount of food, clothing and $400 in donations was gathered. including a $10 donation from Valentino. In 1926, Valentino died at age 31 of a perforated ulcer in New York.
