In 1906, after the San Francisco earthquake, Charles Goodall Lee established himself as the first Chinese American dentist licensed in the U.S. and to practice in Oakland Chinatown.
In 1912, Lee was a founder Oakland’s Chinese American Citizens Alliance financed the building of the Chinese American Citizens Alliance lodge in Oakland, California.
