On Oct. 30, 1900, the Baylor College of Medicine was founded, and was affiliated with Baylor University from 1903-1969 when Baylor College of Medicine became an independent institution.

Originally located in Dallas, the College moved to Houston in 1943 to become the educational cornerstone of the new Texas Medical Center.
