Florence Sabin became the first woman to serve as a faculty member at Johns Hopkins

In 1871, Florence Sabin became the first woman to serve as a faculty member at Johns Hopkins. became the first woman appointed into the faculty of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. In 1924, Dr. Sabin was the first woman to be elected president of the American Association of Anatomists, and in 1925 she became the first woman elected to membership of the National Academy of Sciences. In 1945, coming out of retirement, she became an activist for health care in Colorado overcoming numerous political obstacles. The モSabin Health Lawsヤ modernized public health in Colorado.
