Vanderbilt University Medical Center researchers announced new insight on diabetic retinopathy
On Jan. 23, 2020, Vanderbilt University Medical Center researchers Megan Capozzi, PhD, John Penn, PhD, and colleagues showed a potential new therapeutic strategy for diabetic retinopathy by showing that inhibition of PPAR-beta/delta reduces both Muller cell and endothelial cell inflammatory signaling events.
The results, reported in the January issue of Experimental Eye Research, showed that inhibition of PPAR-beta/delta reduces both Müller cell and endothelial cell inflammatory signaling events.
