On Dec. 3, 2020, the U.S. Department of Defense in coordination with the Department of HHS, awarded a $2.5 million contract to Hollingsworth & Vose, to increase domestic production capability of filter media.

This industrial base expansion effort will allow Hollingsworth & Vose to increase production capacity to 100 million mask equivalents per year in Floyd, Virginia by October 2021, to support the production of filter media.
