On Oct. 20, 2023, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported that among children and adolescents aged <18 years, 2022ﾖ23 was a high severity influenza season compared with thresholds based on previous seasonsﾒ data; influenza-associated medical visits and hospitalizations met or exceeded incidence in previous seasons.
