In 1917, the state wide Children’s Development and Rehabilitation Center Service Program was established in the University of Oregon School of Medicine to provide diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitation services for handicapped children.

Today, the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Child Development and Rehabilitation Center (CDRC) combines clinical excellence with innovative research to provide the best care for children with special health needs.
