The National Institute for Nanotechnology (NINT) opened its doors
On Sept. 28, 2007, the National Institute for Nanotechnology’s (NINT) Innovation Centre at the University of Alberta officially opened with the objective to help Canadian companies exploit the potential of nanotechnology and to foster the growth of an Edmonton-area cluster of companies that utilize nanotechnology.
In 2005, the Government of Canada committed of $3.8 million to the University of Alberta for the NINT Innovation Centre.
