In 1965, the first immunologic method to diagnose solid tumors in children was developed at St.ﾠJude Children’s Research Hospital. Decades of research and treatment of solid tumors at St. Jude have helped increase the survival rates of children with solid tumors. St.ﾠJude Children’s Research Hospital was founded in 1962 by actor Danny Thomas.
