The City of Hope Cancer Center received NCI comprehensive cancer center designation
In 1998, National Cancer Institute (NCI) awarded the City of Hope Cancer Center NCI-comprehensive cancer center designation. City of Hope is a biomedical research, treatment, and education center with more than 200 physicians and scientists that are dedicated to developing innovative, disease-fighting strategies in the battle against cancer.
Founded in 1913, City of Hope has grown into one of the largest and most advanced cancer research and treatment organizations in the U.S., and one of the leading research centers for diabetes and other life-threatening illnesses.
