The Beaumont Tower was completed
In 1929, the John W. Beaumont Memorial Tower on the Michigan State University (MSU) campus was completed. The Beaumont Tower, designed by the architectural firm of Donaldson and Meier, was the site of College Hall, the first building in America constructed for the teaching of scientific agriculture.
College Hall was dedicated to the scientific education of agriculture and the original classroom for the first students of MSU.
