St Louis Skin and Cancer Hospital was founded
In 1905, the St. Louis Skin and Cancer Hospital was founded to provide free cancer care to the community. It was renamed ‘Barnard Free Skin and Cancer Hospital’ and eventually became part of the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center.
