On Jun. 30, 2021, SIGA Technologies announced that it had provided TPOXX (tecovirimat) to Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, in the United Kingdom (UK). TPOXX, which was approved in the U.S. for the treatment of smallpox, was delivered to Liverpool for compassionate treatment for a patient confirmed to be infected with monkeypox.
