Remdesivir prevented MERS coronavirus disease in monkeys
On Feb. 13, 2020, National Institutes of Health (NIH) scientists announced that the experimental antiviral remdesivir successfully prevented disease in rhesus macaques infected with Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV). The study results appeared in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
