On Jun. 12, 2002, President George W. Bush signed the Public Health Security and Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Act into law.
The Act was divided into the five titles: National Preparedness for Bioterrorism and Other Public Health Emergencies; Enhancing Controls on Dangerous Biological Agents and Toxins; Protecting Safety and Security of Food and Drug Supply; Drinking Water Security and Safety; and Additional Provisions.
