
OMRF’s Dr. Petar Alaupovic created a classification and naming system for apolipoproteins
In 1964, Dr. Petar Alaupovic from the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) created a classification and naming system for apolipoproteins which was later accepted as the international standard.
These proteins subsequently were found to play important roles in causing heart disease and stroke.
