NIH-funded team developed method to identify future SARS-CoV-2 mutations that could affect rapid antigen test performance
On Sept. 15, 2022, the National Institutes of Health announced that a research team funded by the NIH had shown that commercially available rapid antigen tests can detect past and present variants of concern and had identified potential mutations that may impact test performance in the future.
