In 1961, Mylan, first known as Milan, the began doing business in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. U.S. Army buddies, Milan “Mike” Puskar and Don Panoz flipped a coin to see who would name the business and who will be the companyﾒs first president. They started distributing products to doctors and pharmacists from an old Pontiac Bonneville.

In November 2020, Viatris was formed through the combination of Mylan and Upjohn, with a mission of empowering people worldwide to live healthier at every stage of life.
