K. Barry Sharpless was awarded Nobel Prize in Chemistry
In 2001, K. Barry Sharpless, of The Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, CA, was awarded the Nobel Prize for Chemistry for his work on chirally catalysed oxidation reactions.
