First adult live-donor liver transplant in New England was performed
In 1998, Beth Israel Deaconess surgeon Dr. Roger Jenkins performed the first successful live donor liver transplantation (LADLT) in New England.
Today, Lahey’s Live Donor Adult Liver Transplant program is the largest in the country, with more than 380 surgeries performed to date.
