On Oct. 26, 2021, Pfizer and BioNTech announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administrationﾒs (FDA) Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee voted 17 to 0, with 1 abstention, to recommend that the FDA grant Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for the companiesﾒ COVID-19 vaccine in children 5 to <12 years of age.
