Contagious Diseases Department Director ordered stoppage of Kansas City streetcar service due to flu
On Oct. 8, 1918, Contagious Diseases Department Director Dr. A. J. Gannon ordered Kansas City streetcar service to stop due to flu, but was met with pushback from other health board officials and the streetcar company itself.
