On Dec. 2, 1999, Alvin and Ruth Siteman donated $35 million to establish the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.  Alvin J Siteman is Chair of Site Oil Company, located in Missouri.

Today, the Siteman Cancer Center is an international leader in moving laboratory research into the clinic, including new methods and interventions to better diagnose, treat, and prevent cancer.
