On Aug. 11, 1942, Hedy Lamarr, a renown actress and George Antheil , a composer and pianist, co-patented a technology called ‘frequency hopping,’ a precursor to wireless communications. This “frequency hopping is the foundation of todayメs cell phone and other telecommunication technologies. This gave Lamarr the nickname ‘the mother of Wi-Fi.’
