Abbott’s BinaxNOW COVID-19 rapid rest received FDA Emergency Use Authorization for at-home rapid test
On Dec. 16, 2020, Abbott announced that the FDA had issued Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for virtually guided at-home use of its BinaxNOWﾙ COVID-19 Ag Card rapid test for detection of COVID-19 infection.
The BinaxNOW, was delivered in minutes without the need to send it out for processing. The cost for the test was $25.
