On Apr. 7, 2020, a map of interactions between the novel coronavirus and human proteins is helping scientists identify drugs that might work as therapeutics. HHMI ia part of a large multi-university initiative that is identifying and testing existing drugs that might work as therapeutics for COVID-19 virus. To-date, 69 such drugs have been identified, and were shipped to scientists around the world for clinical testing.
